Week 9 Prediction Thread: Texas at BYE...No Rest for the Weary!

In a rare Home and Home series within the same year of play, we take BYE on again but at their place. BYE scraped by with the win earlier this year but coming off our recent road win against Vandy...I think we have a shot.

If you had offered me the option on the morning of August 31 that I could wake up on November 1, and Texas would be 7-1, but I didn't have a say in what that 7-1 was, I would have taken it without a moment's hesitation. Texas is 7-1 with everything in front of it. Use bye week to get healthy, get mentally right, and have the OL somehow learn to stop shooting themselves in the foot and this team will be fine for the November stretch run.

Bye will be a tough opponent if we do the following:

1. Commit 10 penalties for 108 yds.
2. Turn the ball over twice.
3. Force three turnovers but only get three pts off those turnovers.
4. Allow four sacks.

If don't do those things, we are capable of beating Bye.

The big question this week is can our OL slow down the zero man rush of bye week. If we can figure that out, I like our chances.
