Week 5 Games of Interest

Virginia Tech at Nebraska - 7:00 - ABC

Huskers first real test under the new regime. I don't think either team is all that great, but my gut says Nebraska finds a way to pull out the win at home.

Colorado at Florida State - 2:30 - ABC

This game is interesting if for no other reason than CU is the Horns' first conference opponent. Even though the game is at FSU, I actually think the Buffs will get the win. FSU put up 3 points this week against Wake. Now Wake is a good team and might actually be the best team in the ACC. That being said, it is still Wake. I think this will be a low scoring game, and Colorado will be undefeated when they host Texas.

(22) Illinois at (12) Penn State - 7:00 - ABC

I expect lots of points in this game. Also, I just have a gut feeling that Penn State will win the Big 10 and Joe Pa will call it quits. So, I'll take PSU at home in a high scoring affair.

(9) Wisconsin at Michigan - 2:30 - ABC

I don't think Wisconsin is all that great...but they are better than Michigan. Rich Rod will suffer his second home loss of the season.

(8) Alabama at (3) Georgia - 6:45 - ESPN

This is going to be the game of the day. It should be awesome. No prediction as I think this game could go either way. Sit back. Relax. Enjoy the show.

(24) TCU at (2) Oklahoma - 6:00 - FSN

I think TCU will be the best team OU has played thus far. That being said, OU just has much more talent. The TCU defense appears to be pretty solid, so I don't think OU will put up 60 like it seems they have done every game so far. However, I think TCU will have some major issues scoring. I haven't paid a ton of attention to TCU this year, but I believe they have been pretty dependent on their running game so far, and the passing game hasn't been that great (someone correct me if I am wrong). With that in mind, my score prediction is:

OU 38
TCU 10

I'll go with a Nebraska victory next Sat. I have been unimpressed with VTech. I hope the Huskers can hold home field te week after and take some of the steam out of Missouri.

At least they have some decent games early this week. This past week all the good games came on at the exact same time. Since I watched Rice I didn't get to see much of the others.

The only thing I'm gonna say about our game is this...

We better win it. VT is not good this year.

Hey you left off the most interesting game of the week, the mighty and honorable Texas Longhorns vs the squealing pigs of barefoot country.

Not calling you out in particular, but the general comments of 'wake is still wake' kinda bother me. those guys play the most sound football in the country. their D makes plays every game... going into last week wake is +59 in turnovers since Grobe arrived. Riley Skinner is the most underrated qb in the country and he's only a jr. they had to replace a lot of talent this year and still have come out on fire. they know how to win and they win a lot. time to give em credit.
