Week 4 Prediction Thread: Texas vs. Baylor...Big XII Here We Come!

Prediction Contest Manager
We start our final Big XII season of play and the goal is to leave the league as we came into the league...by winning it. This all starts on Saturday when we face a Baylor opponent who seems down this year. Regardless, Texas needs to come in focused because Baylor, and the rest of the Big XII for that matter, will bring their A game to our farewell party.

I’ve been off on the point predictions so far, but this week, maybe not.

Texas - 48
Baylor - 14

Applying the formula that we play every other game much better, we should finally dominate in Waco. Add to that the fact that Sark has plenty to “work with” from Wyoming and QE and the receivers have to play better, I expect to see a better product on the field.

Bailor has lost 2 games against marginal teams. Won vs. mighty Long Island State Sat. o_O to go 1-2 on the season.

Bailor will bring their A game Sat., whatever "A" is.

We may get some bad calls with Big 12 refs.... better anticipate that.

Baylor will have to try to pass on us--a lot. But DBU is no Baptist University. Nope, DBU is in Austin, on the 40 Acres. Also, our front 4 plus a blitzing Hill will get acquainted with Baylor's QB quite frequently.

Baylor QB Sawyer Robertson

45.2% completion percentage

Not the most mobile guy you'll find at QB.

6'4" 218 lbs
RS Sophomore
Lubbock Coronado High School
Fairly well-recruited - some ranking services even had him as a 4-star recruit. Signed with Miss St.

Transferred from Mississippi State. Now he's starting at Baylor, after taking the reigns from returning QB Blake Shapen.* So this guy is not chopped liver.

*QB Shapen has struggled with injuries and may, or may not, be available.

Again however, he's not especially mobile, so he'd better hope that the Baylor line is hitting on all cylinders on Saturday. He'll face off against the best D-front he'll see all year. And the best D-backs. And they don't have the running game to bail them out if Robertson is off. No pressure dude...

I don't see the bears moving the ball efficiently. however they will get some breaks to score 17.
I am greedy and want a 4th double digit win.

Just an aside here. I'd hate to be Blake Shapen's single daughter. I imagine it's tough for a girl to go through her teen years known as Miss Shapen.
