Week 11 Prediction Thread: Texas vs. Kansas...Carry On Wayward Son

We have to put this loss from TCU behind us and carry on to the next game which is no gimmie any longer with a trip to Kansas. A win this week will put us above .500 for the year and considering last year, a small milestone to move on with in the future.

Pretty spot on-

Once I rose above this noise and confusion
Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion
I was soaring ever higher
But I flew to high

Flip a coin. Who the heck knows? Who starts? Has Sark lost the team? What offense shows up?

I’ll pick Kansas, so the Horns will probably win.

KS - 27
TX - 24

Will "lay my weary head to rest", cogitate on this prediction for a few more days.....

Cards should starts, but instead I think he plays some against Kansas. Prolly not enough though!

I want to see our defense play consistent, play like they did against TCU every week. Sark will get the offense going, I have faith in that, defense was always my concern.
Texas 28
Kansas 21

Texas 29
Kansas 26

I think we are going somewhere over the rainbow here but I’ll stick with the Horns this week.

well crap, here goes nothing. let me preface this prediction first.
I am assuming the defense still desires to play hard.

If Ewers starts and plays the whole game:
Kansas 27
texas 10

if Ewres starts and plays only the first half and Card plays the second half:
Kansas 24
texas 20

if Card starts and plays the whole game:
texas 31
Kansas 24

I know only one score can be accepted so just regard my post as a comment not a prediction.

I really like the progress the defense has made recently - excellent effort against TCU, and Kansas doesn't have the offense that TCU has. Texas will win -

Texas 31
Kansas 17

How we are favored in the opening lines by 9 is beyond me. If not for our defense against the cockroaches, the 'horns would not even have PUT nine points on the board.

Sad, but it really is like a line I saw in a thread about the aggy spread against UMass...29 points. Someone posted the question of 'don't you have to SCORE 29 points to COVER 29 points?"

For whatever reason, this offense is not buying into a program...my worry is that the fractures will carry over to the defense (who HAVE to be getting tired of the lack of adjustments being made at halftime).

Texas 30

Jaybirds 20

Seems like another season is ending with the team and the program in a tunnel of sorts. So run the ball downhill from the outset to actually set up the passing game this time??
Or is that even a consideration anymore?
