Wedding Ring

Ok long story short, I have lost my last 2 wedding rings. As a result I have not had a ring for a while now. I have decided to get another one and would like either titanium or tungsten (it needs to be cheap and durable since I lose them all the time). Does anybody have any suggestions on one over the other? Also, does anybody have any suggestions for places to get a ring in Austin, preferably north or Round Rock/Pflugerville area?

I'd go w/ titanium....i don't even know it is there most of the time......have you tried Amazon.com? I think that's where I scored mine.....can't remember really.

If you have kids I would go with titanium. If you don't have kids I would just put the money towards a divorce and get out while the getting is good.

If you keep losing them, don't buy a titanium or tungsten one. They cost too much. Buy a comfort fit silver one from James Avery.

I bought my wedding ring at Benold's. White gold in the center, yellow gold on the outside. Looks great. Cost about $700. Most expensive jewelry I have (I don't have much jewerly, I'm a dude). I have had a few scares where I have almost lost the ring. The ring has so much sentimental value to me that losing it isn't as much about the $700 as the fact that I am afraid to lose the ring we were married in.......

So I bought a comfort fit silver ring from James Avery. This one below. $45. I wish I had bought this in the 1st place. I have my real one in a safe. I wear this one every day. If I lose this one, I will just buy another from James Avery.

I was going to suggest sterling silver too. I've heard that Tungsten can be dangerous b/c if your hands swell or something they have to be cut off.

We bought LHF68's ring from Kay. They have catalogs with all kinds of stuff they don't carry in the store but can order, and they have reasonable prices.

A couple things about tungsten:

- It's not super light like titanium, it has some weight to it
- It will almost never scratch. I can take mine and rub it on a brick and it comes out fine. I've had mine for 3 years and there's not a scratch on it.
- Tungsten is cheap. I think we got mine for less than $100 at eweddingbands.com.
- The thing about having to cut off your finger is a myth. Tungsten is very strong, but can crack. If you're in an accident and your finger swells they'll clamp the ring and apply pressure until it cracks and can be removed.

That's all I got.

I bought a Tungsten Carbide ring, was about $230-240ish. I just take it off when I work out or play sports, or any kind of handy work, so they don't have to cut my finger off. Looks great though, and doesn't scratch or tarnish

What about the always "classy" TATTOO wedding band?

Tattoo Image has been deleted because it was too big and too nasty. But you understand what I'm getting at.
