Wedding Bands (rings)

I'm getting married next month and have procrastinated pretty bad about picking out wedding bands. Does anybody have a suggestion on where to go to decent quality and a decent price? I'm looking for something platinum for my fiance, as her engagement ring is platinum. For myself, I am looking for something traditional, yet comfortable. I guess I could go by all of the stores at the mall, but I wanted to run it by Hornfans first. I'm in Austin, so I figured this would be a good place to post. Thanks everyone.

Benolds for me too. Had great experiences there for my wife's engagement ring and both of our wedding rings.

For my ring, I have a yellow gold on the outside, white gold on the inside comfort fit ring. I think I spent just shy of $700.

I wish I had not. I have been married almost 3 years but had a big scare of losing it about a month ago. I did not lose it but since then I went to James Avery and bought this ring (comfort fit) for $45. It feels great and looks just like my previous one but my previous one has yellow gold on the rims.

I wish I had done this in the 1st place. I know a ton of people who have lost their wedding band. I would buy 2. Get married in one of the James Avery ones and put it in a safe. Wear the other one. If you lose the one you are wearing, no sweat. You are out $45 and the one that you exchanged vows with is still at home.

Honestly the $700 of me losing the ring wouldn't hurt me as much as the fact that was the ring I exchanged vows with.

Go to Americus Diamond. Ask for Gerry and say Oliver from England sent you. He is a really good guy and is very honest and helpful. He can steer you in the right direction and is not pushy at all. Our friend knows him well and he hooked us up on a great deal for wedding rings. Really nice and unique.

The Jared commercials on the radio are absolutely awful, especially in Houston. I'm dead honest when I say that I am not going by Jared for that very reason. I'm grown to resent them because of how many times they have annoyed me with there commercials.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. I'm most likely going to be checking out Benolds and Americus sometime here very soon.

def go for the comfort fit, especially if you've never worn rings. anything takes getting used to, but comfort is easier. DO NOT go to bailey banks biddle or whatever it's called at the domain. they're awful.

as for the jared commercials, i have a funny story. was with the wife and friend at little woodrows whenever the weather was warming up this past spring. guy comes over and says "i have to compliment you on your wife's ring. i've been sitting over there and it keeps getting the light and i can't help but notice." i say thank you. without hesitation, my friend looks at the guy, in a low, almost whisper, he says "he went to jared". (i didn't really) was classic
