Weather for FAU game

Weather may be a significant factor for the season opener vs FAU. For starters, Tropical Storm Fay has been hitting up Florida pretty hard which I've read has had an impact on FAU's practice schedule. Secondly, although I doubt the storm will still be alive in a week, it has proven to be very unpredictable. Projections have it moving west towards LA, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it moved into the the gulf, strengthened, and then dropped some serious rain in the Austin area next weekend.

Your right. I checked the Weather Channel early this AM with the same concern about the progress of Fay and if it might hang around during the gulf area this week. It has been an unpredictable storm, but hopefully it will have moved on past the Ground Zero area before Sat. night. They did mention another low pressure system located just east of the NE South American coastal area that has the possibility of turning into a tropical storm... hopefully that will die or move away from gulf / Texas coast. Stay tuned.

I predict that it will be very hot and very dry and that I will consume way too much alcohol prior to the game and be miserable for about 4 to 5 hours due to a bad combination of Miller Lite and 95 degree heat.

I'm just ready for some football, finally. We can have a hurricane inside DKR and I'm staying all 4 quarters, from kickoff to cannon.

l00p has the correct game prediction. For myself I predict I will be excited all next week like some kid on Christmas Eve, I will spend entirely too much time on HornFans and other websites looking for stuff about the game, waste too much time thinking / dreaming about the game and on game day I will eat and drink far too much right before and during my PPV viewing of the game

As the LHB would say: "BEAT THE HELL OUTTA FAU!"

Look, it's gonna be hot. How hot? It's August deal with it. It's gonna be damn hot and it might rain. Need more of a forecast than that?
