We open 17-point favs vs. Baylor

Texas has won three straight in the series

It sort of smells like the KSU game in which we did not cover. However, Baylor does not shorten the game the way the Purple Wizard does. On the one hand, BU can put up points via QB Charlie Brewer, WR Devin Mims and WR Jalen Hurd. And Brewer protects the ball (just 2 INTs in 206 attempts). On the other hand, their OL is porous and prone to giving up sacks and TFLs. Plus their D also gives up a lot of big plays. So, it should not be like the KSU game since they will cough up negative plays offensively and big plays on defense.

I sincerely hope the Horns are taking it one game at a time - after the celebration for the victory over Zero U, it's time to focus on Baylor.

And as long as I'm thinking about it...
It would be terrific to blow the game open by halftime. Give the starters one series in the third quarter, then turn it over to the backups to get some game experience. You never know when an injury to a starter may happen, and it would be nice to have a backup ready to plug in.

Seems like taking it one game at a time is working. I hope we rest, heal and are ready for Baylor. Baylor is starting to find an identity so might be tougher than on paper predictions. We will win, just not sure we will cover.

I haven't payed a bit of attention to Baylor, does anyone have information about the team.

I fully expect your report to be in SWOT format :hookem::ousucksnana:

Snippet from TFB's on-campus guy --

There has been a gradual increase of burnt orange on campus over the past couple of weeks as expected.

Students I’ve talked to are beginning to look into the future about possible trips to Dallas for a Big 12 Championship game, or even brainstorming about where Texas will end up come bowl season.

Though there is some hesitancy, as we have all been through the tumultuous ride over the last 8-9 years, some are slower to buy into the hype surrounding the 9th ranked Longhorns. Many are still anticipating outcomes like last year’s Oklahoma State or Texas Tech games to spout up at any moment this season.

Regardless, the excitement surrounding the student body is the highest I’ve ever seen. Obviously winning on the field plays a large role in the revival of students taking exuberant pride in their team again, but praise should also be directed at Chris Del Conte for constructing an actual student section environment at DKR.
