We drop to #__?

Based on the performance the last 3 games I'm wondering if this is the new team or just a slump. Even with the impressive resume, it will be tough to stay in the 2 seed territory. I'm guessing we come in at #9 on Monday.

I'd be amazed if we remain in top ten. We had two nationally televised collapses in one week.

Pittsburgh is at 9 who we beat by 16. KState is at 10. Will be interesting to see where we land, but somewhere between 8 and 10. Starting at 11, they all have 3 losses.

At least this is a non-conference game.

I agree - the only thing that matters over the next 7 weeks is that we get a 1 or 2 seed in the Houston Regional.

6,7 or 8 b/c a few others lost this week like Duke & Tenn. Heck we're 17-2 & things definitely need to be fixed but I had circled this game Uconn in Storrs as a loss when the schedule came out & it was. All is not over & the sky hasn't totally crushed us yet. Guys just need to dig deeper & give more!

2 loses against ranked teams in their place shouldn't mean that we drop more than 6 spots. Kstate is a damn good team and UConn is probably a 4 seed come tourney time.

Keep in mind too that Duke lost to NCState, Pitt lost to G'Town, and Michigan State (WHom we beat) struggled to win against Minn, My guess is that after this week we fall to #6 - #7.

The big problem is that teams are finding a way to stop Pittman, and that doesn't bode well at all for us jockeying for the Houston Regional. I have faith in Barnes in getting this figured out, but others may not share that sentiment.

I would say 6 to 8th but games at OU, Okla. State, Missouri, Aggies and Baylor and a home game against Kansas. All of these games will be very difficult to win.

We will be 6. MSU is 7 and we beat them, so they won't jump us with having the same amount of losses and no impressive wins. Regardless, we have looked horrendous in the month of January and, as mentioned before, this is hardly a slump and certainly a downward trend.

It could easily be argued that our good play during a few weeks in late December was the outlier instead of the rule. Our best technical game was against a UNC team that played one of their best games of the season and still lost by 13. But that is hardly a quality win with how horrible Carolina is now.

I'm not Mr. Doom and Gloom in basketball, but it's time to stop using youth and inexperience as excuses and just go out and play a freakin' complete game and make some shots. This is embarrassing and inexcusable.

It would be criminal to rank us ahead of Nova or Cuse right now.

It truly doesn't matter if you can't get things done on the court. Maybe Rick needs to pull a Mack. Call in his senior leaders and have a talk with them. If not things are only going to get worse. Something is defintlely wrong some where. A team just doesn't pull a 360 like this otherwise.

Right now they are not a top 10 team, hopefully they become a good team before Big 12 play ends. Right now they are a bunch of individuals.
