Way to drop the ball, UT announcers!

I cannot believe they didn't acknowledge Colt breaking the all time passing TD record!!! Given I had to leave early, and they may have done it at the end of the game, but I didn't hear anything immediately following his 3rd and 4th TD. Either they really missed one up in the press box, or they just don't care. In the past, I can recall many times when they announced Longhorn player achievements (usually right after the play.. if not several plays later)! If I recall correctly, it usually went something like, "With that _______, ________ is now the all time _______ in UT history." I know you play for the name on the front of the jersey, and not the back, but throw the kid a bone!

Nit picky I know, but Colt is the man!

Ya, I couldn't imagine they would totally skip it! But usually, it's right after the play. I wish I could have stayed, and I am pissed I haven't been able to the last few times, but my band schedules gigs on sixth street damn near every weekend. So, unfortunately, that equalls me leaving prior to the fourth quarter to get there on time. Oh well.. 3 quarters is better thatn none! Hook 'Em Colt!

I happen to agree with the origial premise - the announcers dropped the ball. It was announced after the game, as the team was heading to the South End Zone to sing The Eyes with the band.
 
What I can't believe is that you left early, but went ahead posting a critical thread about the announcers without knowing if they really did announce. it.

I watched the game on TV (here in northern Virginia), and during the 4th quarter the stadium appeared ~40% empty. So it was pretty evident that lots of folks had bailed early to hit 6th Street (or wherever).
 
I'd be more than happy to stay the whole time.. if you are offering to set up my drum set for me! Or we can just skip the process.. and you can hand me $500.

But regardless, I think announcing it after the record breaking TD is a better way of doing it. That being said, I will prove my burnt orange blood to no man (woman, child, etc.)!

I'm takin' you up on that offer. The drums are perty heavy, and I'll be perty **** blasted.. so you might wanna bring your liftin' belt. Remember, you wanna put all the stress in the lower lumbar and lift w/ the back.
