wathcing Justin Mason

he is definitely more of a wing player in a point guard body. his moves in the lane are pretty good when he's on smaller or slower opponents. however, when he is pressured while handling the ball, he is prone to turnovers (as seen by his dribbling off his foot today) and does not make good decisions.

To his credit, it's not his fault. In the right role, he is a huge plus for this team however with our personnel this year, he's not able to play to his strengths.

I wish Ward and Harris had been given more chances back in Nov and Dec.

I support all our players and look up to there hard work and effort. I do like to feel hopeful for something good to happen every time we touch the ball. The whole team has struggled in spurts all season.

Ward definitely earned himself more playing time with today's game, but the announcers hit the nail on the head ("not enough scorers") when they commented about Ward, Mason & Balbay on the floor at the same time.

Mason is a garbage player. He does the things that go unnoticed (defense, rebounding, keeping loose balls alive, etc) and that makes him an easy target for criticism.

With no offense to Balbay, but this team has no ball handler. Every one of those guys have troubling just drilbbling the ball. And inbounding or bringing the ball up the court against pressure is just painful to watch. And that is all of them...Balbay, Mason, Abrams, Ward, and throw in James because he's asked to beat the press too. If Pittman hadn't surfaced as a major focal point, this team would have been sunk long ago. But give them and the coaching staff credit for perservering and doing whatever they have to do. That game today was ugly.

Hook'em!!!

Balbay can definitely handle the ball. He's no Ford or Augustin, but he's perfectly capable of getting the ball up the floor and leading the team.
