Watching the Game AT Fair Park

Hi! I usually wind up at Fair Park after the game b/c I never have the budget for tix. But this year, we are going early to see if we can get some affordable tix once the game has started. However, if we still can't find anything in our budget, is there a place to watch the game AT the fair? I recall a few bar areas but I don't remember TV's. Thoughts? I'd hate to get there, the tix still be too pricey for us and then have to leave to go to a bar. Plus, another in our party doesn't want to spend the money at all so she was wondering if she could just stay at the fair and watch as well.

Yes, there is a bar or two on the fairgrounds that show the game

If both teams arrive with 2-2 records, you won't have too much problem getting tix near face value.

Look up the Texas Exes tent or pavillion to the south of Big Tex. They usually have plenty of seating and some TVs to watch the game.

Yes, you'll find a game watching under a canopy.

Three best places are

1) The Dock Cafe - It's across from Hans Mueller inside the building. "Momma" has been there for years and has cold beer and best funnel cake at Fair. There are two TVs plus a ticket booth inside the cafe so you won't have to leave to get extra tickets.

2) Hans Mueller's tent - It's next to big stage at end of boulevard. Glenn has two giant screen TVs in the tent with the best sausage and jerky anywhere. Glenn and Sherri own Yoakum Packing and are Aggies, but the best Aggies you will ever meet. Since A&M is playing at home, it is likely they won't be there. I think it was two years ago, Glenn had satellite problems, but he is about 25 yards from The Dock.

3) At the Southeast corner of The Cotton Bowl there are a series of giant screens outside between the two buildings housing the Livestock Show. No seating other than curb or sawhorse, and will be covered with "red", but they have some affiliation with AT&T or ABC or someone, so they have the best reception.

Hans Mueller's. A lot of fun pregame, game watching and post game.
A few of times I went there at halftime and did not return to the game.
I wont say which years, but will say the games were hurting my eyes to watch.
