Watching Tech game in Vegas?

Will be in Las Vegas for the Tech game (September 18, 7 p.m. Austin time).

Never been to Vegas during CFB season before -- where's the best place to watch? Of course there's plenty of sports books, but are any of them really a good place for 15-20 Horns fans to gather and watch the game on a Saturday night?

I've heard the Mandalay Burger Bar is a good place for sports, but pictures I've seen online don't really suggest the sports bar vibe I'm looking for.

Anybody got any suggestions?

If you really want to dial into the game, don't watch in a sports book. Loud with distractions everywhere. But then again that is everywhere in Vegas.

Rent the Rain Man suite watch on cable or PPV

Depends on what you want - if you want to watch it on massive HD screen in a casino, then the Red Rock has a really good viewing area - but most of the ones on the strip will too. Planet Hollywood's pretty good, but I haven't been to a lot of the ones around so not sure I could tell you which one is best.

Unless you're watching it in your hotel room, you're gonna be in a noisy environment anyway. So might as well find one with a massively big TV.

Used to be the Texas Exes had a watching party every week, but I haven't heard anything about it in the last couple of years - plus they always met in a bar in a kinda dicey area of town, so it was kind of a pain to go.

Echo what's been said - all the big Sports Books on the strip have big/lots of tv's. Even lots of casinos have added flat screen tv's you can watch while you play BJ. Ceasars has a great Sports Book for viewing games. The Mirage is decent. If you want sound because you want to really know about every play, then go by a liquor store, because booze is cheap there, buy your snacks and head to your room. Comfortable and you'll enjoy us beating the hell outta Tech.

Hook'em!!!
