on ESPN Classic. It amazes me to see footage of thousands of fans being allowed on the field to exit the stadium and they just walk off like it's nothing. No goofy people running the bases or pulling up grass or dirt after such a momentous moment in baseball history.

97 pitches, and the last one, about a foot outside to Dale Mitchell, was called a strike.

I listened to the game as a fourth grader. I was a big Yankee-hater, but I pitched in high school a few years later and copied Larsen's no-windup motion. Worked for me, too.

That was on a couple of months ago, and I watched it for the first time then. Amazing game, with great commentary.
My Aunt Sid lived in New York then, and attended that game as a Dodger fan. She still talks about it to this day. She visits about once a year, and will be here Thursday, coincidentally. I always ask her about that game.
There were so many great stars on the field for that game, and the Dodger pitching was almost as great as Larsen's. That was fun to watch on ESPN Classics.
