There coach is Manieri (I am not sure of the spelling) and he came from Notre Dame. He had a great record at ND so I think they have a winner.

Living in Baton Rouge, I naturally get a lot more LSU sports than Texas sports

. Be that as it may, LSU is on a roll right now, 19 or 20 in a row, and may be the hottest team outside of Texas. They were behind two runs in the bottom of the eighth today against Alabama. They drew some walks, got the bases loaded with one out, scored a couple of runs to tie the game and went ahead with a grand slam.

I would love to see Texas play them as I think it would be an extremely good matchup. But make no mistake, they are coming together as Texas is and are legitimate contenders again.

As an aside, I was in a procedure the other day with a doctor and some of us got to talking baseball. Come to find out, he's a Texas fan (undergrad, med school, internship in Austin). The last thing he said before he left was "hook'em".

I agree, there is no such thing as a lock. While their streak is impressive, they are due for a slump at anytime. That's just the way baseball is. Once you think you can't be beat, you can't score a run. Once you think you can't beat a little league team, suddenly everything starts falling into place.
