Wastewater averaging

For the past year, my wastewater bill has been crazy. And that is b/c we built a house and finished in Nov. 2006 which meant during the months that City of Austin does wastewater averaging, we were watering a crapload to establish our yard. I called them up and they said how they did it and to next year not water in that time frame and the wastewater average would be better.

So I called them in the fall and they said wastewater averaging is done for the months of Dec., Jan. and Feb. bills. So that means they start paying attention end of Nov. (Dec. bill is end of Nov. to end of Dec.) to end of Feb.

I called them up again this morning and they verified that my bill coming out shortly for February should be the last one in the wastewater averaging.

Sound right to you guys?

So I should be able to turn my sprinkler system back on. I had been watering it every other Saturday but that meant turning it on one weekend, off the next. I have mine set to put down ~1/2" per week only on Saturday morning. When it gets to spring/summer, I'll be at about ~1" per week probably front on Saturday, back on Wednesday.

And is City of Austin still doing the thing where you can only water on Wed. or Sat. if your address is odd number? I believe that is year round now, right? Believe it or not, I asked the rep from City of Austin water and he didn't know. :)
