Wanna feel ashamed for laughing at something?

Backstory: Some young girl who played a lot of World of Warcraft died in real life. It's a tragedy. Her WoW buddies planned a funeral in the game. As you'll see in the video, they lined up and paid tribute at her favorite spot, by the lake. Since they did this on a public server, they posted on message boards requesting that people stay away from that spot.

Guess what happened

edit: apparently this is old. i'll leave it up for those who haven't seen it. ironically, i doubt it's older than the sarcastic "we landed on the moon" comments

7:41 seconds later and I still don't know what the **** happened!

Thank Gawd I don't play that goofy *** game - if I am up at 1:30 in the morning on the computer - I'll have you know I am either on Hornfans or watching porn!!!!

Did someone in real life die and they were having a funeral for her character in a pretend world? And all of a sudden, in the pretend world, someone comes and bombs the place by the lake? Funny.

I don't feel ashamed because I have no friggin clue what the hell just happened.
I did laugh imagining all those people yelling at their computers when all this was going down. That's funny.

Yes, someone died in real life. The folks who had played with them online decided to hold a funeral to help them say goodbye. The posted notices online- someone decided it would be funny to show up and slaughter the attendees when they least expected it.

I've never played WoW or even seen it played for that matter. The idea though is kinda funny though. The part that I find funny is that it's bad enough waiting in line for something but to go online and wait in a virtual line with your virtual character for that long and then just get killed is rather funny

Someone call TBS and let me know if this is funny. I found it amusing but I need the guidance of a network that knows funny.

I have no idea what goes on in this game. but my roommate is obsessed.

ya' know how some people will buy an 8-ball so they can stay up all night drinking, partying with chicks and feel like an omniscient Mick Jagger? well, my roommate buys an 8-ball to play WoW until 8am. I **** you not. I can't bring chicks home... I have to go to their place, which isn't really a big deal because I don't like chicks knowing where I live.

I have a very basic knowledge of WoW from the South Park episode and from hearing about this video from my friend. Since some of you don't really know what's going on, here are a few things I find funny about this video, besides the obvious (ex: how incredible square it is to have a videogame funeral for a real person).

1. Right when they get to the edge of the funeral, they straight up run train on the first guard.
2. The one dude gets invisible and assisinates the dead girl's character, who is standing by the lake. This is when the song starts playing.
3. The whole scat man thing is hilarious. I'm pretty sure the main character is dancing.
4. I'm pretty sure the girl's character comes back to life or something, because near the end, she's trying to swim across the lake. You can see one dude swimming after her and another dude running around to the other side.
5. The fact that 7 or 8 characters were able to straight up massacre about 50.
6. The fact that the dudes who planned this clearly had someone wait in line at the funeral to get that part of the video.

I don't play videogames were often (like a couple times a year), but I played enough in my youth to know how much a game can piss you off. With time for retrospection, I find this hilarious, even though I feel bad for laughing.

I've never made a prayer request online. However, I wouldn't find messing with people who do funny because prayers and funerals are apples and oranges, in my opinion.

My only point was that this is really nerdy - do you disagree?

Also, I said I felt bad for laughing, and never professed to be the king of cool. I do lots of nerdy things, like posting on here.

I am not ashamed for laughing at this.

I am ashamed that I have watched this whole video long ago, and know all about it, even though I have never played WoW.

I wonder if Mr. T is in this battle.

How is writing on a message board thread posting condolences to someone who died who you only knew thru the board not the exact same thing as being in a game enviroment and saying condolences for someone you never met except for in the game?

People who try and say it is not the same thing are just trying to compensate and make themselves feel better than these "dorks" who would want to honor someone that they never met in real life.
