Walking routes

Does anyone have any suggestions for walking routes between downtown Pasadena and the stadium? There doesn't seem to be one direct route. It's hard to tell from the map where there are sidewalks and stuff.

We walked back after the '05 Rose Bowl since the line for the buses seemed to wrap around the stadium and there were no cabs in sight. It sucked... after wearing yourself out screaming and carrying on during the game then we had a 4-5 mile hike back to find a restaurant and then the hotel. What made it really suck was walking down Colorado the evening after the Rose Parade. Apparently the sanitation workers have the 1st off. The street looked like a 3rd world country with trash EVERYWHERE including used, dirty diapers just laying out on the sidewalk. But we did see Doc's house from Back to the Future walking up from the Rose Bowl so that was cool I guess.

It will take about 30-45 minutes for the walk between Old Town Pasadena and the Rose Bowl stadium grounds... Did the trek in 2005 after the Rose Bowl Parade and before the Texas-Michigan game... tried to take the shuttle at the Parsons Engineering complex, but the lines for those shuttles were INSANE. Plus, the time spent getting on one of the shuttles, is the same time to walk to the Rose Bowl. It's supposed to be in the low-mid 70's, sunny, and clear (as clear as it can get in L.A.) on Thursday so it will be ideal conditions for walking to the game.

Since the game won't be done until around 9:00 PM PST and then the post-game celebration, it will be a little chilly walking back... I think the Parson shuttles go until 2 or 3 hours after the end of the game, but I remember those lines were insane after the 2006 Championship game!!!

Just better to get there early and tailgate with all of Burnt Orange Nation and then Stay Late celebrating Texas 5th Football National Championship!!!!

Walk to the stadium...it's a fun walk with lots of street vendors selling stuff along the way and the walk isn't bad on the way TO the stadium.Just follow the crowds.

After the game, come out of the stadium and hang around the handicapped parking lots right in front of the south end zone and right beside where the shuttle lines are forming and know t hose lines will be really long. Watch for the lines to go down and hop in it and ride back to Parson's or wherever you are parked. There will be a lot of Texas tailgaters in the handicapped lot- that's where we were for the 06 game.
