Waiting in the pharmacy

I'm sitting here, waiting for my scrip, and there is a 1-year-old making noises that would put Felix Unger to shame. Think Jack Lemmon in the movie. Poor kid is allergic to everything, apparently, and naturally lives in Central Texas, home of allergies.

Whatever you do, make sure you go to a good area of town to get your prescription filled. I have made this mistake literally 20 or more times. If you in a bad area of town, for some reason, it will take them 2 or more hours to get a prescription filled. All the while you can see a bunch of poeple just standing around. Go to my neighborhood pharmacy and I dont care how crowded it is, I can usually get anything in 15-20 minutes.

I would advise developing a relationships with a pharmacy near your. Introduce yourself to the pharmacist and become familiar with the staff.

I would not put wait times as the #1 reasons to choose a pharmacy. Or a drive-thru either unless you really need drive-thru access.

If wait times are your #1 factor (sorry to hear that) then I would suggest checking with your Dr. to see if they e-prescribe. If not they can either fax the script in, or worst off, call it into the pharmacy to have it worked on before you arrive. If you are taking a script in hand to the pharmacy then you will likely be waiting a bit longer than you need to.

I guess I should have named this thread "Baby Felix Unger." My point wasn't that I was waiting, but that the baby was making an absolutely infernal din with her constant barrage of honking and snorting and sneezing and wheezing. She was literally a baby Felix Unger.

This was at the Scott and White pharmacy, where the nickname is, literally, Sit and Wait.
