9/11 trial just starting?
Why has it taken so long for these proceedings to take place?
These men have been in custody for a very long time. KSM was captured in March of 2003 and wasn't even charged until 2008. Now here we are 4 years later and this is just beginning. What a waste of tax payer dollars on detaining these men and watching after them for so long. And now are simply wasting more trial time with their behavior, which seems to be their obvious goal.
We seem to be intent on give them due process but don't we have to question our own beliefs whe we detain somebody for so long without a trial. We are basically saying your right is due process and you will get it but it may take a decade or longer for that to happen.
One day we will actually start being the Democracy that we like to say we are.
Man Seal team 6 had it right. Kill OBL and move on. Can't imagine how long that entire thing would have been dragged out if we had captured him.
