Waco area golf courses

Any recommendations? I will be staying in Georgetown and a friend is coming from Ft. Worth. We want to meet somewhere and play next Sat.

I've played the Nicklaus course, Bear Ridge, and I thought it was a fun little course. Its where the Baylor teams have their practice facilities, and its a nice clubhouse. It wasn't that expensive, but I might have played on a weekday, too.

Cottonwood Creek (254-745-6009) is a real nice layout, best in the area, and very inexpensive. I would recommend it over any other course in town.

Both Bear Ridge and Cottonwood Creek are very good for the price.

Avoid any of the cheaper ones, because they are pretty crappy.

I always enjoyed hilary run or heather run or whatever the hell its called now, but cottonwood is good too
