W. Houston Italian - Pre MS 150

Need a suggestion for casual but good Italian place for a group to meet Friday night before the MS 150 Bicyle Ride.

Preferably in the West Houston/Addicks/Katy area, since we are staying out that way.

Something similar to Mandola's in Austin.

Very casual - Achille on Eldridge
Nice but you can sit outside and it's not as "stuffy" - Azzarelli's on Memorial Drive bw Gessner/BW8.

My team (Team Taco Deli) is eating at the Lasagna House. We went there last year also and I thought it was pretty good.

It's at Eldridge and Westheimer. I don't know if that's near where you're talking about, I just know it's near the Omni that is the recommended hotel for the ride.

If the weather stays like this we're in for a great ride.

Carmelo almost bought my parent's house in the 80s when we nearly moved out of state. He's really nice but his Italian food is very Americanized.
