that conventional qb quote sounds just like what mack brown said about vy's jr. season. "we let vince be vince...." from the rb pre-game. this is good news. have fun vy!

Just goes to show that money isn't everything. You can have millions of dollars, get to play a game for a job, and still be miserable.

Glad to see my favorite player work through the growing pains of being a starting NFL QB for a VERY young team and keep his chin up.

Too bad he couldn't have known this ahead of time like, say, right after the Rose Bowl.

And, I've said **** Norm Chow from the beginning. He was a terrible coach.

Every person I know currently in the NFL currently or in the past says the exact thing. It is not a game, it is not nec. fun, it is first and foremost a business. Owners have seen hundreds of players, coaches have seen thousands. You will go sometime as well and the team and business will continue without you. We as fans talk about this but since it does not affect just about all of us we don't take it past that.

These words from VY don't surprise me and he will flourish from going through all of this. This guy has a knack for overcoming things. His mom and grandma did a fantastic job.

I'm Vince's biggest fan, but..

Unfortunately Vince has been babied. As an example, in his short time in the NFL, and even a little bit at Texas, he over dramatizes injuries on the field, and I think he's lost A LITTLE respect from his teammates. I'm talking many times just in the last few years he's laid on the turf, only to get up and be fine 10 seconds later. He's left a few games early before the half to get an iv due to fatigue. He also takes criticism personally which you can't do as a QB at the highest level. I worry that every time he faces hardships in Tennessee he'll always come running back to Austin where he's treated like a God. I know he's gone through some personal issues off the field(with his dad being released from prison) that he struggled with, but everyone has problems in the NFL. He needs to toughen up IMO.

It sounds like he's in a better place heading into next season.

Anyone remember this player named Ervin Johnson in his first year under a coach that wouldn't let him play and have fun? Some guys just need to be turned loose and told to go win the friggin game. Let the "magic" begin.

last year during one of the broadcasts they talked about vince's family. his father, with whom he is estranged, got out of prison and vince was having a hard time figuring out how to deal with it. whether or not he should let him back in his life.
