vs Iowa State

Kansas has already gone down, on the road to WVU. The road is a dangerous place in this conference.

Texas has 49 points at the half, after scoring only 57 against TCU, for the game.

If this team only had an inside presence, they would be dangerous.
Moving the ball well and getting good shots, then knocking them down.

Have to play the same way in the second half and play tough defense.

Ibeh gets two quick fouls at the end of the half. Cleare needs to contribute some quality minutes and keep Ibeh from getting into foul trouble.

Texas did a good job of not committing a ton of fouls that first half. A real chance for another quality win.
 
9-0 run by Iowa State, now a 2-point game. Our athletic program loves finding ways to try to lose in spectacular fashion
 
not sure why, but I am always to see Isaiah hit a three. Nice 3s by him and Lammert to push Horns to a six point lead.
 
I was expecting a 20 point loss, so. Just happy we drug them to OT. We need Lammert to show up every game and we need production from our Freshman off the bench every game, if we want to compete. Bottom line.

At least we almost beat basketball powerhouse TCU after screwing up a scorecard and starting the game down 1-0 (the same point differential Texas lost)! Yay Longhorns!!!!
 
You should be asking how did Texas win that game. I love, it people say we will lose by 20.

Then they wonder how we blow a lead. Taylor was mugged going to the hole, there shouldn't have been an overtime.

Bottom line is another quality win for Texas.

In all seriousness: sorry if I'm too negative for y'all, but I say there's not much to be positive about. Texas is now 10-6, with losses to the two worst teams in the Big 12. Both conference wins were at home, each of which the Horns melted down at the end of the second half.

We just fired a coach that went to the NCAA tournament every year but once in Austin, and this year Texas is already slim to none in chances of getting in.

Hahaha, dude, I'm obviously glad we won. I'm just not as deliriously optimistic as you are, as you back Charlie Strong all the time even though he's a super duper 12-14 in two years at Texas.

Pretty sure I called you out earlier this year in the football season, and you had no rebuttal whatsoever, so I'm not gonna sit here and waste my time again

This team is going to beat teams they shouldn't and get beat by teams they shouldn't. Lots of parity in college basketball; more so in the Big 12-(10). It's all about finding a groove and riding it to a peak. Let's hope Shaka took notes tonight. Everybody just played hard tonight and didn't quit. They didn't look like the same squad we saw vs TCU, Tech or UConn.

This sounds like the Texags football board during an 8-4 season.

You're stealing the free pass that Shaka gets by directing your ire at the presumed direction the program is taking without even knowing the outcome. We'd be better with Ridley. Our recruiting efforts have been way above the caliber of the football recruiting.

If you're implying that Barnes would be doing as well or better because of the quantity of his NCAA postseason appearances, that's quite a leap. Remember, he had the team with McClellan, Lewis, and Kabongo. Shaka hasn't dug us into that kind of hole yet.

Sorry, but I'm going to enjoy this win. Yes, I'm frustrated by blowing the big lead but it's balanced by realizing I wasn't expecting to have the big lead to begin with.
