So I've been watching the Horns VB team during this playoof run and I have a question about the game.
Why does one player on each team have a black jersey?

The person with the opposite colored jersey is the libero. If the team jerseys are light, the libero's jersey will be dark and the opposite if the team jerseys are dark. Under volleyball rules, the libero can freely substitute in and out without it impacting the allowable number of subs per set. The off color jersey helps the refs to remember that the libero can substitute an unlimited number of times.
