Voip for IPAD

I am in the process of trying to choose a voip app for the IPAD. I don't need much functionality, but I am willing to pay if it means greater call quality. I'm quite the international traveller so I use wifi all over the world.

SKYPE quality is fine, but the app only works for the IPHONE that I can tell.

Any experience/feedback is appreciated.

If Skype works on WiFi wouldn’t it work on iPad as well? I’m assuming it doesn’t require anything other than the app and a network connection, not sure though.

Thanks for the link D...just FYI an app for iPhone doesn't mean there is the identical app for the pad. One of the reasons I asked the question is that there are approximately 3 dozen options for VoIP on the pad and I just wondered if anyone had some experience that would save me the time. If I don't get one ahead of skypes release that will definitely be a top option.

I thought the iPad could run any iPhone app, but they won't take advantage of the extra screen area.

I have a Samsung Droid Charge- not to change away from Apple- but does anyone know when VOIP is coming to some of these Droids?

I heard Skype is working on this- but taking their time (potentially because now Microsoft owns them- they want to screw over a Google platform.)

They do Paso, but sans VOIP. Allegedly the Thunderbolt can get it on skype.. I actually went to some Droid sites later in the day and heard all Droids will get it whenever they get their upgrade to the newer google OS called Gingerbread. Then- Droid users can have it on either gchat or skype voip.

The Thunderbolt gets the upgrade first, then Charge/Droid 2 etc.
