Voice recognition software

Do any of you who do a lot of correspondance use Dragon or other voice recognition software? We have in-house transcription, but we also wind up sending quite a bit out, and I spend almost as much time proofing the outsourced transcriptions as I do dictating them. We have an Electronic Medical Record for generating office notes, but it is so user unfriendly it is almost worthless. Dragon is prretty pricey up-front, but seems like it would pay for itself fairly quickly.

I would appreciate any thoughts from MD's attorneys or others who have tried it, especially with regards to use of macros, templates, etc.. Thanks in advance

Thanks for the link zzzz. It seems like the way to go if you do a lot of dictation. Anyone with personal experience with Dragon?

Sawbonz, the technology still isn't there yet. I have some radiologist clients who have been heavy into this for a while and they say it was too frustrating to use. I would imagine it would have an especially hard time with all that scientific jargon you are dictating.
