Last I heard this weekend's visitors are DB Chris Brown, DB Obi Eboh (commit), and RB Kyle Porter. DT Michael Williams was scheduled, but had to change it to the next weekend due to some family matter.

Texas CB commit, Obi Eboh (Southlake, TX) confirmed that he still plans on taking his official visit to Texas this upcoming weekend. Eboh took a visit to Stanford last weekend. Most believe it’s only a matter of time before he flips to Stanford but the Horns will have their chance to convince him and his family that Texas is the place for him this weekend.

On Monday, new commit Zach Shackelford was interviewed on KRZI radio (listen to it here):

Host: What's the overall vibe right now in your mind [regarding Longhorns football]?

Shack: A lot of energy, a lot of excitement in and around that building because we know what's about to happen. And I would say to the Longhorn fans out there just be patient this month because some good things are going to happen and we're going to get this thing right.

Yeah, Jordan Elliott may be one that we can count, only after we see him on campus. I don't know why he has been overdoing the talk about how solid he is to Michigan etc - when so many people don't believe him. I have a feeling that it has got to do with how Harbaugh is. He may be putting some pressure not to do it. So, I assume if he is coming, that is only after pretty much deciding that he is committing to us. I don't know why he is making this so tough on himself. Why go up to Ann Arbor and freeze his behind, when he can come in and play right away at the school that he always liked, who badly need DTs, under a coach that puts a lot of D players in the NFL (except having the mistaken notion that UM is about to win an NC or something and that UT will forever suck like the last two years)? Get to your senses, Jordan. Come on down.

As mentioned above, DT Michael Williams has rescheduled his OV to the 29th.

Will Baizer says, "Mike Williams let me know that coaches asked him to reschedule to the 29th so that his mother would be able to attend as well."

Per another poster:
First off I'd like to say I'm not here for the games and gimmicks, I'm just here as a fan and to share what I know.

I told you all that I have a friend who is on the Texas staff who told me about Brandon Jones weeks ago and when I posted it here y'all didn't believe me.

I told y'all that Robinson was going back to USC last week and y'all didn't believe me.

I told y'all yesterday that Hudson was a flip and y'all saw similar reports there later in the day supporting my claim.

So believe me or not, I really don't care, but I was told today that Kyle Porter told Coach Strong to save a spot.

Anonymous source above: I hope like heck you are correct. I love Porter. I think he is one of the slipperiest runners in Texas. He will be a home run threat every time he touches the ball. :hookem2:

I like this guy's 'tude!

it's very interesting that Charlie moved Cobb up to visit the same weekend as Eboh
Eboh came back from Stanford still committed to Texas
Charlie is either sending Eboh a message (because Cobb would jump at an offer) or he is planning on taking an extra DB than I originally thought (5 instead of 4)

Strong seem to be very cunning in scheduling recruits...I like it!!

Now it seems that Stoops has managed to keep Cobb from visiting. People report that Jason Higdon said it late last night. Apparently he said that Obi is also not coming this weekend. So, that doesn't look great. I didn't care as much about Cobb, but didn't want to lose Obi to Stanford and Cobb could've helped. We will have to wait and see how this turns out.

I've had Obi as a flip to Stanford since he was accepted to the school. Cobb is a late issue and I didn't put much stock in him showing let alone committing. Still have this and next weekend before the dead period. Should be interesting.

Per TFB:
DB Chris Brown – Has a final 3 of Texas, Michigan, and Florida. I feel good about Texas’ chances here and if they land Brown it could go a long way in getting LB Dontavious Jackson stay home.

CB Parrish Cobb – Committed to Oklahoma and hadn’t shown too much interest in Texas in his recruitment prior to his pledge to the Sooners but it looks like that may have changed. Cobb is a true and talented cornerback and is cousins with DB Eric Cuffee. Cuffee is not expected in Texas this weekend as he is set to take an official visit to Arkansas this weekend. Cobb has plenty of people around him that want to see him at Texas but we are told that his father still wants him at OU. So we expect this trip to be a lot about trying to sell Cobb’s father on Texas.

DT Jordan Elliott – The Jordan Elliott saga continues. He had been adamant of late that he was 100% solid to Michigan and hadn’t even talked to the Texas coaches recently but it looks likes things have changed. Is it because Texas seems to be trending upward with some other Houston area targets? Could he seriously flip again? It looks like his interest is legit and this is a recruitment to keep an eye on.

RB Kyle Porter – One of the more quiet recruits in the 2016 class. He has a final 3 of Texas, TCU, and Arkansas. I felt good about this one and now that TCU and Arkansas both have RB commits I feel even better.

DT Michael Williams – Committed to Stanford but Texas has been his #2 school for so long now. A few weeks ago it looked like Texas was going to have to go all out in trying to flip Williams but after the sudden turnaround at the DT position flipping the situation doesn’t appear nearly as dire.

He has later put in further tweets saying Cobb isn't visiting. He said that he had talked to the dad who said "last minute we've decided not to go to Texas this weekend", but would not rule out next weekend.

This is another of those situations where there is a dad who has his plans and that is with some other university. Not the first time. The moms are ALWAYS on Charlie's side, but the dads are not always so (I have my guesses on why that is so -- but let me not get into it!). I am not sure if his mom likes Texas better, like in Burt's case last year. If not, this may be over and Stoops might have done what it took to keep Cobb committed to the land thieves.

[Cobbs father said], “So many coaches are coming by the school and it’s just a lot to take in…I’m trying to give Parrish space to figure out what he wants to do”.

Cobb’s father indicated that Oklahoma and Texas are certainly two schools under consideration to win Cobbs signature on signing day and when I asked if those were the only two schools they are considering he said, “I can’t promise you that”.

Cobbs father summarized the remainder of the process for Cobb by saying that they will think things through this week, decide if they will visit Texas next weekend and then make a final decision on or just before signing day.

So while Cobb is committed to Oklahoma it seems there is no question that he is torn between at least OU and Texas.

Per TFB:
You won’t see Alief Elsik LB Dontavious Jackson make a surprise visit to Texas this weekend with his teammate Chris Brown. I was just told that his plane has landed and he is in Tuscolusa ready for his Alabama official visit. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Jackson unofficially visit Texas next week as I think this is a Texas-Florida State battle.
