Visitor's Section

I'd bet they're in 13-14 so they can be close to their cheerleaders and so their band can have easy access to the field

As minor as it may sound, I've never understood why the visitor sections are right there where their team comes out/goes into the locker room. What the hell's that about? I'd much rather have Horn fans sitting there "welcoming" them to DKR-TMS. Why not put visting fans at one of the south ends of the lower level?

If I recall, back in the late 80's early 90's they were in the South East corner. I first noticed them in the NW at the UCLA debacle, they wouldn't shut up!!!! Can't really blame them. They may have been there before but that was when I first noticed them.

Our band would be right behind the bench and then the visitors band would be in that corner playing. It must have been miserable for the other team with both bands blaring away!!!!

I want to say it is all acoustics, it is better to have their band facing their bench, vs. our bench. You would need an architect or may a band member to confirm this.

I also don't understand why we give the visitors the NW corner seats.

We should put them on the south side of the stadium where the noise escapes the field the best.

....its not rocket science.

As far as acoustics go, the current set up is pretty much the worst set up possible. With the visiting band in the corner, they play directly down and at our team. I remember standing behind the team when tech was around; you couldn't hear anything. We need to take a page out of the farmers' book and put the visiting band in section 32.

Thanks UTuba! I've been preaching this for years. Just like the ags do to us, put them in Section 32 and the remaining ones split between the corners of 101 and 109. I sit in Section 30 and the visiting bands blare right at us.

This is not rocket science.

Why not put the visiting fans all around the stadium like the farmers do? Some up in the zone some on the South East side some on the South West side?

I remember a time in the 70's when I believe the visitors and their band were in sections 31 - 32. Not good seats, not up close to the field or our bench to make a lot of noise and not close to where their players go in and out of the lockeroom.

Deloss - I say put 'em in 31 - 32, after all this is NOT rocket science

What makes you think we already do this? If you have visiting teams fans in your section away from their current section in the NW endzone, it's because they bought it from Ticket City, some other ticket service or a season ticket holder selling it to make a buck.

No - last year they split visitors between the NW corner and the NE upper deck. Hopefully this year they put them in the upper corners of the NEZ

It would not be right to put visiting bands in the westside upper deck. Let's put their band in Section 32 along with a few fans and then the remaining ones in the two corners of the westside upper deck.

This is not rocket science.

In my opinion, they place the visiting fans/band in the NW corner so they won't receive any "constant" TV time since they aren't in the natural view of the cameras situated on the West side . . .

If that's not the reason, i honestly can't imagine why you would place the visiting fans in the "shaded" area of our stadium.
