VirtualDub vs. Wombel vs. VideoReDo

Which one is best for editing MPEG-2 video. I have VirtualDubMod, since VirtualDub doesn't support MPEG-2, which is what my capture card records in. The only problem, is that I can never get the damn thing to edit and save right. Once I get the commercials out and save the file, I only get audio on the playback...no video. What the hell??

So, I was thinking about paying to get one of these other programs, especially if they work. I like VirtualDub since it's free, but would spend money to get something that actually works.

I know some posters recommend VideoReDo and others VirtualDub. Does anyone know about Wombel? If you use any of these programs, can you give me your opinion of them?

Thanks.

I used Woble to edit the commercials out of the UT-OSU game after transferring it to my computer from my ReplayTV. It was simple and worked well. Now if I can only figure out how to get it to DVD without re-encoding it. I tried to use Roxio Easy Media Creator and it turned my 4 GB file into 12GB. I still have the TT, A&M and RB games on my ReplayTV, so I need to figure it out.

You can get a free month trial of Womble on their website.
