Vince Young Interview 'The VY Electrify'

Yeah...I don't know where he gets off?? Is it the same remedial offense that won the National Championship??

"our offense is remedial, hence the crack on our remedial offense"

There will be entire generations who miss this because we win games against lesser opponents.

Of course, none of the great offenses in history ever got big numbers against bad teams. Honestly, some people on this board seem to think that our offense should be held to a different standard than any other team in the country.

Ill take a consistently good remedial offense that wins every Saturday over whatever else... But that is just me...

The Link

indirectly indicates that Texas' points for 2005 (from Mack's site --- 652 total points scored, I added them up from there) probably were a Division I record --- for 1 year, then passed by Hawaii in 2006 with 656 points over 14 games, or about 46.9 points per game.

Texas averaged 652/13 = about 50.2 points per game.

FWIW, Army's 1944 team still holds the PER GAME record for Division I of 56.0 points per game for 9 games that year.

Would those of you making the "remedial offense" argument feel better if VY had run a more complex scheme which was less efficient or got us beat once or twice that year?

It was the best offense in the country.

What else do you freaking want?
