Vin Scully, best ever?

Ah, the very recognizable voice of Vin Scully. He has been with the Dodgers since they were in Brooklyn. He has done NFL games, national broadcasts and even World Series on the radio. The things he has seen, the people he has called a game for and what he means to Major League Baseball are numerous.

I hope the owners divorce is not driving him out. Is he the best ever or at least in the top 3?

Without a doubt, Scully is the best baseball announcer I've ever heard. If he did a voice over for an advertisement, I'd still think of the Dodgers. And he's a rarity in that he does the games alone - without the help of a "color" man.

My other favorites . . .
College Football - Keith Jackson
College Basketball - Rafferty & Packer
College Baseball - Harold Reynolds
NFL - Madden & Summerall
Olympics - Jim McKay or Al Michaels
