That culture is not even up to the 80s or 90s, much less the second decade of this century.

It reminds me of something remotely 'Texas' that maybe existed years and years ago... in an age of 8-track tapes, chrome bumpers and metal dashboards, slide rules, horn rim glasses, crew cuts, high-water ironed jeans for boys, bobby socks for girls... Aggies really live in the 40s and 50s and have not moved forward. How did the 60s and 70s social revolution skip that part of the planet all together? Hell, Willie used to look 50s-like.. but then grew his hair, moved to Austin....

Ah, the irony. To use a song of Willie's for a place that is 50 years out of step with the rest of the country. And the State.
