video players not working.

I can't figure out what happened.

My Windows media player (9) and Real Player are both playing, but they are playing like they are in fast-forward.

The sound and the picture are both speeded up.

Even my e-mails, the sound it makes when I have "mail" and even the sound when I first turn on my computer sounds speeded up.

Anyone have a clue what it might be???

zzzzz......that was good.

I called a friend that works on computers (helped me build mine) and he had no clue as well.

All sound that comes out of my computer (e-mail, videos, downloaded songs, etc.) are speeded up.

Oh, I AM drug and alchohol free.........

The LinkThis only applies to the hardware listed, but if your hardware is different, the remedy is likely similar.

In short, it is probably your sound card or sound chipset drivers, or a corrupt DirectX file.
