Video of Proposed new LA NFl stadium

Many stadiums are 'sunk' into a hill (Rose Bowl, Jack Murphy/Qualcomm, etc) but I don't recall a stadium dug out from the middle of a hill....and I don't think this stadium qualifies for that either. IMO it almost looks like this stadium is to be built like any other with some extra dirt added to make it look like it was dug out of a hill...kinda of how they add a bunch of dirt when building overpasses and such.

The old Stanford stadium was at least half underground; Jones Stadium in Lubbock and I believe the Big House have playing fields that are below grade.

I agree with whoever said it looks kinda cheap. You can see their economic emphasiss, too, with all the luxury boxes on one side and that huge bank of endzone seats. When you look at the stadiums for the 2008 and 2004 Olympics and Bayern Munich and Wembly and the Stade de France, you quickly see how awful this thing is.

I'd have to believe that there were at least a couple of other stadium designs that were much nicer.

Seems like UTEP stadium is built into a mountain. There is a whole highrise of skyboxes in that LA stadium. I was wondering when it will come to an entire stadium of skyboxes to maximize profits. They might have to build microphones into the skyboxes to get crowd noise though.

Yes the Sun Bowl in El Paso is built into the mountains. I thought most here would know that. Also, LA already has two football teams, I doubt they will get another right now.
The question is do you pull for the Galaxy or Chivas?
