Victoria Texas.....

The Pelican's Wharf was pretty good; at least it was when I worked there about 30 years ago.

Sorry, I got nothing. These days I try to stay away as much as possible. But, hey, if you go through Cuero can you get me an xtra large Chupacabra tee shirt? I will gladly reimburse you for your trouble.

Spent a lot of time there - not a bad town.

Hampton Inn is a nice place to stay.

La Tejanita has good mexican food.

I have a lot of family in Victoria and my grandparents own a restaurant there. It is a little mom and pop restaurant called Moo Moos Drive Inn that serves fried chicken and burgers. Google Maps link for directions.

the options are few. ever since chilis and a couple other franchises moved in it has killed some of the really good small places. One place i always go to is Hungry Jacks. They have one of the best chicken fried steaks of all time. Really Really Really good. Dairy treat also has an awesome hamburger, but you have to eat in your car. If i was with you, we'd be going to hungry jacks.

I second that chicken fried steak at Hungry Jack's. My all time fave.

Dairy Treat has the best burger in town.

Victoria is really lacking some local eateries.
