I have a video capture card (ATI All-In-Wonder) in my computer. I plug a VCR or older video recorder in using the S-video or composite connectors and capture.

I can then create menus, titles, ETC and then burn to DVD.

I have a panasonic DVD/VHS recorder combo (E75VS) and it works great. I've been steadily dubbing old vhs tapes to dvd and I dump recordings from the DVR to DVD on a regular basis.

I've got that RCA unit. It works great and has a lot of features for the money. I'll be transferring some of my old games (Rosebowl) to DVD.
