I've been doing online now for a while now. Look on the statement, it should list the website. Do it online, print out the receipt and keep it with you in case you get pulled over before the sticker comes. Only takes about a week and a half for it to arrive. It costs I think a dollar extra, well worth it if you hate to stand in line like I do.

Don't know about North Austin, but there is a place in Oakhill near Hwy 290 and William Cannon that you can do everything you can do @ the courthouse. It's not connected to the county, but a private business, so they charge a nominal additional fee.

Can't you do it at most any grocery store? As long as you're only a day or two late, they should still be able to do it for you. Don't forget your insurance card.

I've done my two cars in the last two months at the DOT on Airport Blvd. I never waited, ever. Why pay someone else more of a fee -- they have you believing the lines take forever when there really isn't a line @ all. You can also do it online as well.

D-Back is place downtown is closed. It refers you to the place on Airport Blvd.

Because a $5.00 fee saves me from driving +30 miles round trip to Airport Blvd. and saves about an hour.
