Vegas - still 'sin city'

Doesn't seem like it to me - just got back and all I saw were strollers and little kids all over the place.

I expected to see all kinds of debauchery, but it seems to be headed to more like disney world or something.

I didn't ever encounter a single hooker, that I know of.

Go figure.

Hookers generally don't start working the casino bars until 11pm or later.

The inundation of Vegas by rugrats is obscene.

I also hear the gangbangers are starting to be a problem on the Strip.

P/C - I imagine it's mostly guys who want to go to Vegas, but can't get it past the wife. They "compromise" by taking the family...and in turn they ruin Vegas for the rest of us.

Thanks pansies. Don't ask the wife to go to Vegas...just tell her you're going. This coming from the guy getting married in 4 months.

well....not sure where you were staying but all i seem to do is eat, sleep, and SIN big time when i am there.....luckily i only go about 4-5 times a year.

Just got back from Vegas. Yeah, I saw the same groups of parents with strollers (I really don't get that). Vegas is still all about women dressing up like whores, drinking heavily, gambling and hookers. I stayed at the MGM, and about midnight every night, they were thick -- all over the place. Easy to spot, too, because as a guy if you walk by the bar or some of the slot machines, some 20 something blond with a big rack looks at you, smiles and says "hi there!"

On the other hand, maybe I was just doing good with the ladies.

I think Vegas is trying to really distance itself from families. For a while, they tried to cater to them, but now, with the "What happens..." commercials and ditching all the obviously family friendly stuff (turning pools into 'day-clubs', etc...) they are trying like hell to bring back the sin.

Won't stop tourist from showing up and mixing with the gamblers, drunkards, whores and skirt chasers.

you must have just missed the AVN, at the venetian. that is some good stuff to be around, if you are looking for hot and skanky. and absolutely the pro's are still in the casinos, just need to know where and when to look for them. and go into any of the big clubs (pure, tao, tryst) and you'll see more craziness

i was just at the MGM on the 9th........only witnessed a few of the hook type......but did see some at the new Planet Hollywood casino.....not a bad new scene.....ate at Koi which was ok.....good but prob wont go back. Think PH could be a nice new spot.

where in the hell are you people hanging out where you're expecting to see hookers but you see strollers instead?

It doesn't bother me in the slightest that I see strollers on the strip. Any debauchery I get into doesn't happen while walking on the strip. It happens in a casino or bar/club. Strollers aren't in these places.
