I don't know how new it is, but my last trip I went to Stack at Mirage and it was a nice place. It's designed by a club promotion company (light group), so it's very trendy, but with decent food. We spent around $200 for 4 people with drinks (not wine). There's actually a few restaurants that Light Group has opened now, so if you check out their website you might find one's menu you prefer over another. FYI, I did a little research on my own and thats how I decided on Stack in the first place. The Link
We also ate at MESA Grill at CP which isn't new, but it was my first time eating there. This is now my favorite place to eat in vegas and I will recommend it any time someone asks. It cost us $300 for 4 people with drinks (not wine). If you plan to eat here, make sure to get reservations. They are usually booked weeks out.
Delmonico's is great & I've seen jeans in there, but their corkage fee is $25. That's worth it though, as their wine markup can br more than 300%
Mesa Grill is very good, and pretty "trendy" for those of you who are impressed by that sort of thing. It's easy to get a reservation there for early hours during the week.
Just an update. We went to Little Budha at the Palms. It was very good. Good sushi and a couple of specialty rolls that were outstanding. Great service. Cool room. 5 of us ate well with 2 bottles of Conundrum for under $400 with tip.
The next night we had to have an early dinner in order to make a show and wanted to eat around Ceasars. We ended up at BOA, a steakhouse from LA. Cool room. Some of the best service I have in a long time. The steak was good, comparable to any at a top notch steakhouse. Overall, a good find, but with Delmonico's and Prime in the neighborhood, it's hard to see going back. that being said, BOA, has more of a hip vibe than either of those, so I guess it would depend on the mood of the night. Typical high end steakhouse prices. $38 for small filet and up from there. Wine list is great, but with very few red wines under the $125-150 range. Most were well above that.
just out of curiosity, what did you pay for the conundrum? I'm always shocked at how much it gets marked up at restaurants...
It used to be $17/glass at Wolensky Grill in NY when i lived there a few yrs ago. Was a very full pour, prob 1.5 glasses, but you can buy the bottle for $22 or so.
Pretty sure we paid $70 for the Conundrum. $25 or so is typical retail, so this is just about the dreaded 300% restaurant price. Sucks, but better than swallowing the mark-up for a crappy bottle.
