Vegas Bottle Service: Red Bull Charge?

We are setting up bottle service at Tao in a couple of weeks, but the dude told us Red Bull is not included. Since when? I've done bottle service at Tao twice in the last 6 months and RB was always a mixer.

Anyone else encountered this?

Last 2 times i have been in Vegas at Body English and Tryst they both charged for red bull, come to think of in the think the Rhino did as well. BE and Tryst was in the neighborhood of $100 i think for Red Bull, but granted we had 4 bottles and a bunch of loaded dudes....not so sure about the Rhino....

but i do know that the stripers like to offer you a deal $30 a Dance or 3 for $100....?!?!?!?!? how does that math work out?

we did the bottle service at pure about 2 mo ago and our girl asked us if we wanted some red bull so i said sure. i thought it was included but i'm pretty sure when i looked at the bill we were charged extra for it. oh well, extra 30 bucks on top of a big bill.

Last time I was there was May 11th and I certainly don't remember being charged extra for Red Bull but maybe I'm wrong.

I wouldn't mind if it was reasonable but I've got a feeling it is likely more like the $10 can Gandorf was paying in LA.

I'm about to show my age and my total lack of any remaining semblance of game, but can somebody explain to me what "bottle service" is and how it works?

Bottle service, in a nutshell, is paying a hugely overpriced amount for bottles of liquor in exchange for a VIP area. For example, in order to go to a VIP area of a strip club, you have to spend $300. In exchange, you get a bottle of Grey Goose and some mixers. (Diet Coke, Sprite, etc.) So, you are essentially paying 10 times the price of a bottle of liqour to be secluded.

At Tao (Venetian Hotel), you get the use of a cabana with a couch, fridge, TV and fan. (And a wonderful mister in the 108 degree Vegas heat)

When are you NOT getting bottle service at Tao? They should know you by now and give you all the free RB you want

when you figure how much a shot costs in a single mixed drink, vs. the price at the store per shot for a bottle, the bottle services really don't get out of hand.

& What else would one "receive" @ the price one pays for this Cabana?

Not ever going to get a bottle service & attempting to live vicariously, I remain,

Is this bottle service thing pretty standard at clubs in Vegas or LA? Does any place in Austin do it? I've never heard of it in Austin but then again, I can't even remember the last time I went to a bar here that wasn't a beer snob hangout or Casino el Camino.

There are a handful of clubs in Austin that offer bottle service. I think Prague and Cuba Libra offer it.

I don't know how popular they are though. It seems to me that while Austin does have a bit of $$$ floating around, I don't think it has quite enough to fill a bottle service area weekend to weekend like LA, NY and Vegas have.

As for the original question I went to Tao back in Oct and they charged for Red Bull as well as water. So I'm sure you were either mistaken about the bill not having Red Bull or your waitress just hooked you up. Also Moon doesn't charge for either FYI. (Those are just the only clubs I've ever been to)

I'm going to Vegas in Dec. for a bachelor party. This does not pump me up. I also don't have any desire to go to the clubs. I went to Rum Jungle 2 years ago as we were staying at Mandalay Bay. I didn't get it though. Overpriced drinks way too crowded. And the whole time I wanted free drinks on the casino floor while gambling. Now of course those "free" drinks on the casino floor aren't cheap if you have a losing session.

Coke prices are WAY down. Just buy a bottle to get the VIP table and snort blow all night to stay high and awake. No need for liquor and red bull. Trust me. If a threesome with two hot, 20-something cokeheads in your Venetian suite doesn't sound appealing, you souldn't be going to Vegas anyway.

yes, bottle service costs a ton compared to the retail price of a bottle. But, what drink at most clubs/restaurants are not the same way? (especially in LA, NYC, and Vegas)

If you consider these factors, bottle service actually makes sense at some clubs:

- 1 regular drink costs $8-$10
- At clubs with long lines, you pay $20-$40 at least per person to get by the bouncer. Bottle Service takes that out of the equation.
- You get a table(s) to sit at

So, if a group of 8 guys wants to get into Pure, you either have to really grease the bouncer, know someone, or have bottle service. Think about how much 8 guys might spend normally anyway. 6-7 drinks at $10 each. $40 for the bouncer. $20 cover charge. That's @$130. If you get 2 bottles @400 each and split it up...it's still about $100. Plus you get a booth/table to bring girls to.

is a bottle $400 bottle extravagent when you can pay $40-$50 for the same bottle at a liquor store. Sure ! But, it's still worth it.

I'm going to Vegas Aug 23-26th with my wife and 2 other couples. We're 99% sure we'll get bottle service at Pure just because it makes things easier.

in la clubs, you're not really paying for the vodka, you're paying for the seat. i only do it every now and then, and mostly i do it because it makes me feel like a baller.
