VB Scrimmage

Just want to ask for someone who attends today's scrimmage to post their thoughts on the newcomers....thanks!

Two of the newcomers, Ashley Bannister and Sarah Palmer, did not play. Both appear to be nursing some minor injuries. Bannister was stretching out her ankle a lot on the sidelines. Palmer seemed to be stretching her back. Both were dressed out, but neither warmed up or played.

Very impressed with Haley Cameron, she is a beast at the net. Some good blocks and good with the quickset. The new DS and the transfer from Virginia both played on the "B" team the entire scrimmage, not sure I see either of them breaking into the lineup.

In Olschwanger's case it was not a question of her abilities or talent, I don't see her breaking into the lineup because it looks like we are running a 6-2 and that uses a lot of the substitutions available. If one of the pins is subbed for a DS, I presume she will battle Palmer for that DS position. Of course, if Palmer's injury is more serious it opens up an opportunity.
