Varez Ward coming in to visit next weekend....

According to Orangebloods, 6-2 combo guard Varez Ward is coming into visit the weekend of May 9-10.The Link

Ward did an extra year of prep school at Patterson (NC) to get his grades up. A whole host of schools are after him after he decommitted from Cinci.....Texas, Kansas State, Arkansas, Marquette, Florida State, Alabama, Auburn, UTEP and East Carolina have all offered. His HS team won the class 6A Alabama state championship as a junior and were runners up when he was a senior. His Patterson team went 38-2. So the kid's a winner.

Described as a tough hard nosed physical player with awesome leaping ability; an excellent defensive player. More of an athletic slasher type...needs work on his 3 point shot. Averaged 16ppg, 8 rpg, & 8 assists on Patterson's powerhouse prep team.

Varez is really a good defender moves his feet well, gets to the basket well, makes very few turn overs. Good handle, can push the ball , decent court vision.
Needs a lot of work on offensive, lacks 3 point range, mid-range has a decent jumper but needs to be more consistant. Defense is his strongest asset at this point.

i'm wit chu jazz...when in need of some lock down D, a back court with mason and mason #2 would be some sweetness.

i'm so glad justin broke out of his slump. he is perfect 4 year guy who every team needs to win it all. i enjoy watching him tremendously. fav player on this years squad. will be again next year.

Varez visited this weekend, has anyone heard any rumors about the visit.
This has been such a freaking crazy recruitment year. Tyreke and Spoon, Ebanks have all been pipe dreams, and early on we pass/stop recruiting a McD's All American that wanted to play here ???
Getting Brown was a circus now we don't know if he qualifies or not....

I hope 09 is much ,much better !
