Vanilla Soy Milk...

Polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats help lower cholesterol. I lowered my cholestrol almost 50 points by adding soy milk, South Beach Diet protein bars (made with soy) and fiber (mostly from oat bran and ground flax added to Metamucil) to my diet. I didn't really cut anything out of my diet except using buffalo more often in place of beef.
 
it doesn't spoil as fast. In fact, some soy milk can be kept out of the fridge, until you open it. It's not so much a luxury "Hippy" item anymore. Cow milk has doubled in price in the last few years, so its economically feasable to drink soy full time now.
 
is vanilla soy milk supposed to be the (rough) equivalent of regular milk, or is it actually vanilla flavored and is there also a regular soy milk that is supposed to resemble real milk?

that 50 point cholesterol loss post sure piqued my interest. if i could do that by switching milk, i could eat more que guilt free.
