Like the VH-Sammy reunion a few years back, this tour accomplished its goal....a cash infusion to Ed and Al. I wouldn't be surprised to see them resurface in a year or two (barring health issues).
Save your money for the Led Zepp tour coming later this year...

Despite reports to the contrary, sources with Van Halen tell Billboard the band's tour is not being canceled, though tonight's (March 3) scheduled show at the American Airlines Center in Dallas has been postponed and rescheduled for April 24.
Three other dates have been postponed while Eddie Van Halen undergoes medical tests: Cincinnati (March 5) is rescheduled for April 22; Raleigh, N.C. (March 7) is rescheduled for April 13; and Baltimore (March 9) is rescheduled for April 15. The source says the outing picks up on March 11 in Charlottesville, Va. Tickets for the scrapped dates will be honored at the new shows.
Van Halen, who has battled cancer and substance abuse, "is undergoing a battery of comprehensive medical tests to determine a defined diagnosis and recommended medical procedures," reads a statement from the group's management. No further details were given.
Van Halen returned to the road last fall with original lead singer David Lee Roth for the first time in 20-plus years. The tour, which features Eddie Van Halen's teenage son Wolfgang on bass, has routinely sold out North American arenas.
The current schedule has shows booked through April 25 in Sacramento, Calif. Van Halen is also slated to perform six days earlier at Tiger Woods' Tiger Jam in Las Vegas.
Never say never....I caught a glimpse of a mag a few weeks ago that said Plant wants a reunion. The only artist I can think of who wouldn't take 200mil for a reunion is John Fogerty with CCR. Hell, Roger Waters reunited with Pink Floyd for night....DLR 24 yrs later....things happen in due time.
My understanding is that Plant has a prior comittment until the fall, then Zepp reunion is back on the table.
The 24hr Led Zep XM channel is going off the air in March, but returns later this year....hmmm.
couple of years ago, plant did a very unpublicized set at the gypsey tea room in dallas. mostly his new solo stuff, but i figure it would be very unique to be able to see someone like him in such a setting.
i suspect the zep tour will happen, but with few dates and plenty of time in between so they don't have to go through the grind of a traditional tour. plus it would help drive ticket prices up (if thats even possible) if there were only, say, 15-20 US shows. hell, they could sell out texas motor speedway in about 5 minutes if they wanted.
He kind of looks like Steve Jones (Sex Pistols guitarist) right now, only a tad thinner and with longer hair. Jonesy isn't a looker, but even he dates women half his age. (Then again he does have the coolest radio show in the country.)
