i grew up LOVING van halen. with dave AND with sammy.

but they've really turned themselves into a joke over the last 15 years with the lead singer revolving door and puttin eddie jr. on bass.

nothing beats dlr's attempt at bluegrass versions of old van halen tunes a few yerars back. that was awesome.

I just enjoyed reading the article call him "Lee Roth" and the french version "Le Roth". That's good stuff there.

I loved VH back in the day, especially as a guitarist myself and being absolutely stunned at what EVH could do with the instrument. Their debut album may just be the best thing they ever did.

Sometimes I wish these old bands would just quit while the memories are still favorable. I'm looking at you too, Aerosmith.

I caught their Tour in Houston a couple of years ago and it was extremely enjoyable.

I had seen them in 1981, and again in 1984. The 2009(?) Tour obviously wasn't quite up to those shows........but damn well worth the price of admission.

Hope they hit the road again soon.
