Uverse in Venice, CA

Anyone know when Uverse will be available in Venice? Ready to cancel my directv to switch, but they said it's not available at my house? What are the requirements or how do you find out which part of Venice it is available in? I'll even move back to Santa Monica if someone can tell me where or how I can get Uverse...

It sickens me I can't get this...
