...., some constantly, some in the background and then going back to see the goals.
I've enjoyed watching soccer ever since my kids played on youth teams over 20 years ago, rather than playing baseball.
These games from Brazil have been entertaining for me.
However, I wish they would call a penalty on every handball.
And, besides those oversights, I would like yellow cards issued whenever hands grab or arms wrap around opposing players.
Grabbing to slow opponents down and/or hanging on their necks and shoulders (in order to out jump them) tarnishes the "beautiful" game for me.
I understand these are grown men playing in important contests and rough tackling is allowed as are body checks and high kicks which are disallowed as being dangerous play for kids.
But the (already illegal) grab *ss with hands and arms is significantly bringing down the level of play, IMHO.
I think verbal warnings and then yellow cards should be issued much more often and, of course, red cards in the box and on the rest of the pitch for egregious fouls.
It's too late too change the level of enforcement for this World Cup, but FIFA should take notice and emphasize this in all matches at all levels after this competition is over.
JMO.
