Texas's schedule is:

Jan. 11 -- at Texas Tech (6 p.m., ESPN2)

Jan. 22 -- at Kansas (3 p.m., CBS)
Jan. 26 -- at Oklahoma State (6:30 p.m., ESPN/ESPN2)
Jan. 29 -- Missouri (8 p.m., ESPNU)
Jan. 31 -- at Texas A&M (8 p.m., ESPN)
Feb. 5 -- Texas Tech (8 p.m., ESPNU)
Feb. 9 -- at Oklahoma (8 p.m., ESPN2)
Feb. 12 -- Baylor (1 p.m., ESPN/ESPN2)
Feb. 16 -- Oklahoma State (8 p.m., ESPN2)
Feb. 19 -- at Nebraska (12:30 p.m., Big 12)

I don't like closing out the season by playing mostly North division teams. Interest will wane, especially if we didn't do so well at the beginning of the conference schedule.
 
That's a really weird lineup for us - I'm used to getting OU and Kansas way late in the season. If we peak early this could be a good thing for us, give a "break" headed into the tournament. But we better be ready to go when conference starts!
 
It's a relief from so many back-loaded schedules that they have played.

Having played UNC, Michigan State, Arkansas,, and UConn the Saturday before conference starts, they should be "ready."
 
Excuse me, but for all the nonbackloadedness, Texas still ends with two of the toughest conference games of the year--K-State and Baylor.
