UTEP game watching in Houston area?

I don’t have LHN. Anyone know a good spot around Houston (preferably west side) for Saturday’s UTEP game?

BW3 in Hedwig Village. Service is spotty, food is awful, but they are accommodating with the big screens. I believe there is a place in that development at Cinco Ranch Blvd and 99.

Haven't been there, but there is a Christians Tailgate at Hwy 6 and Katy Frwy. Burgers used to be pretty good.

Haven't been to Sammy's either, but have friends who like it.

I might have been hip enough for that at one time, but probably no more. Too much of a suburban family dude at this point.

Speaking of inner loop though ... I was working at a client’s office Wednesday off Kirby and Richmond, big real estate guy, and he had something super cool on a table in his office — a Horns helmet signed by UT’s Mount Rushmore: Earl, Ricky, Vince, and Colt. Got it through a silent auction or some charitable event he was supporting. It was a beauty.

We used to be able to get good stuff like that at the Texas Exes Texas Independence fund raiser. I have the game balls from the State Penn game in The Meadowlands, the 1983 OU game among other things. That kinda wilted when the Exes screwed over the athletic department - I have never seen Deloss so pissed off.

As for the "inner loopers", I have suggested that they alone should have to payoff the $1.5 billion in debt for the crap they had built downtown, where no one goes - Enron Field, Hilton Americanas (or whatever they call that $325 million paperweight), Toyota Center (where midget Les prevented the movement of the Pittsburgh Penguins - we wouldn't want a Stanley Cup in Houston), the expansion of GRB to accommodate the RNC, which met in the Dome instead. As long as they keep their less desirables downtown, they are welcome to it and the debt that they can't service.
